According to the latest data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute, housing sales are increasing throughout Turkey. It was observed that sales, which had been accelerating since the beginning of the summer, increased further at the end of the year. Looking at this, since the beginning of the year, including last year, there has been an increase of more than 63 percent.
153 thousand houses were sold in November!
Housing sales throughout Turkey increased by 63.6 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 153 thousand 14 units. Istanbul with 26,320 housing units, Ankara with 14,916 and Izmir with 8,583 housing units accounted for the highest number of housing purchases and sales, while Bayburt with 89, Tunceli with 99 and Hakkari with 121 provinces had the highest number of sales.
Housing Sales Across the Country
In addition to all of this, TÜİK announced the housing sales across the country with the following figures.
16.4% Increase in Housing Sales in the January-November Period – According to the information provided, other housing sales across Turkey reached 131,210 in November, an increase of 48.6% compared to the same month of the previous year. The share of other sales in total housing sales was 85.8%. Other housing transactions increased by 23.4% compared to the same period of the previous year to reach 1,130,179 in the January-November period.
Mortgage housing sales amounted to 21,804
As a result of other types of sales, 131,210 houses changed hands.
The number of first-hand housing sales amounted to 49,274
103,740 houses in the second-hand housing purchase and sale
2,151 houses were sold to foreign nationals in November
By nationality, the largest number of housing sales were made to citizens of the Russian Federation
